Edit/Read My College Essays (Three) (3)
Do you like melodrama? Do you like the refreshing feeling of ginger ale in the winter cold? Do you have an exquisite eye for injustice? Read my college essay! Tell me what you think, no need to be super hard on grammar/spelling, that’s not my biggest concern at the moment.
This is a year old, and I’m not going to lie, I haven’t gotten that less melodramatic, but here’s a sample of what might be shat out of my laptop in ETA 6 Hours.
With that separation comes our shell- we hollow men, who operate like a boat without a captain, sailing towards the mist that shrouds our best judgements. For we are lost without a soul, and our expressions along with it, our ability to express human affection and feeling, agony and sweat. For what is a painting but an extension of the limbs of the painter? What is ink on a paper but the blood of the writer? As we progress toward the unknown, it’s become easier and easier to distract ourselves. We no longer greet and salute. We leave a clot of 1’s and 0’s on a digital canvas, belonging to an image that once belonged to a human being. We need to feel- we need to talk, we need to touch, laugh, and live. Our acceptance of such futility is not a concession to escapism and distraction, it is a call to arms, to embrace what we are… what we can be.
Please and thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
